Talk To Me   A blog all dedicated to fabulous Tom Hardy & loved ones! ... proud member of THAAC .... Welcome!!

Over at Warner Bros., they are seeing a bright future for two of their franchise stars — Tom Hardy and Bradley Cooper — signing them up for first-look deals. Of course, the former takes the villain role in this summer’s The Dark Knight Rises and won a new batch of fans thanks to his turn in Inception. Everyone is expecting the superhero movie to push Hardy into star status, a bit of a gamble considering the dismal results of both Warrior and This Means War at the box office. But WB are hoping for the best, because they’re already in the early stages of building a franchise around him with the gangster tale Cicero that would be a potential trilogy with ‘Harry Potter’ helmer David Yates directing. And of course, there is Mad Max: Fury Road which is aiming to shoot this spring. Meanwhile, Harvey Weinstein even bumped the release date of The Wettest County to accomodate the Batman movie, with hopes that he can swoop in with a new film featuring the star of the moment.

Confession: Mad for Max

I haven’t seen Warrior yet, ‘cause it’s not on the playlist of my favourite English Cinema er any other cinema for that matter. So naturally I’m looking forward to Christ Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, but who doesn’t? Bane is going to break the bat. Also I couldn’t care less for This Means War. The trailer didn’t win me over. Chris who? Reese? For real? Thank God there is Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy coming out, even though I have to wait ‘till February ‘cause I live in a place beyond civilization, but I’m patient and will be one of the first to stand in line for it. Best freakin’ cast ever, ‘nough said. On top of that we are all waiting for Wettest County In The World - Tom, Gary and Shia, can’t miss that either.

But after all I realised: all those movies mean almost nothing to me compared to how super excited I am about Mad Max: Fury Road.

I need Tom Hardy as Mad Max in my life. As soon as possible. Can’t they start shooting already, pretty please?

Mad Max: Fury Road aim for April 2012 start

It has been confirmed that filming for the fourth instalment of the Mad Max franchise is set to get underway in April 2012. That is as long as the weather allows them to, as most of the scenes will be shot outdoors.

It is believed that The Hurt Locker star Jeremy Renner was desperate to be cast as the role of Mad Max before it was eventually given to Tom Hardy. […] It is believed that the movie will be released sometime in 2013.
